Blogmas - The Christmas Tag

We are getting closer and closer to Christmas and I'm not even kidding I am so excited! I thing I told you that yesterday but I will tell you again:) It is now 12 days until Christmas!
So today I am doing another Christmas related post because as you guys know I'm loving my blogmas posts, even if I haven't done it properly. I just love thinking about Christmas and sharing my Christmas memories with you guys:) This is the Christmas tag and I saw it when I was reading makeupsavvy's blog - http://www.makeupsavvy.co.uk/. I wasn't nominated to do this tag, but I really wanted to write about something super Christmassy today, so yeah:)

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
My favourite Christmas movie would have to be either Elf, The Muppets Christmas Carol, the Snowman and the Snow dog and the Grinch. But basically I love all Christmas movies so that's a difficult one:)

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
In my family because I live with my mum, I spend Christmas Eve with my Dad and his side of the family, therefore any presents that I have off them, I open on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas morning I open my other presents at home. It's like having two Christmases, so I'm not complaining.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I don't think I do, I just love Christmas and nothing can beat it. Therefore to me every Christmas is full of wonderful memories and I'm not sure I could pick just one. However, if I had to then I would say my favourite Christmas memory is from the year I started buying Christmas presents for other people myself. Seeing how happy they were and knowing I had bought them something they really wanted is an amazing feeling.

4. Favourite festive food?
I'm not completely sure what actually counts as festive food, because I'm not really a fan of the Christmas Dinner traditional foods like turkey. I think this year my Mum is cooking beef, but if it was left down to me it would probably be Salmon, which doesn't sound very festive at all does it? But I also love Mulled Wine, which I know is a drink, but I just had to throw it out there!
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
Simple, I don't have one... there has never been anything which has been bought for me that I haven't liked and therefore I can't pick a favourite. Plus, it's to hard and it's making my brain hurt:)
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Cinnamon, or Cranberry, or Salted Caramel, or Toffee Nut. The last two are also my favourite Christmas coffees, this years being the Toffee Nut Latte from Starbucks.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
It's really weird actually, I don't believe in Santa any more (that's not to say he's not real though!) but yet I still like to leave a glass of milk, a mince pie and a carrot out in front of the fireplace. I also like to have a few drinks on Christmas Eve with my family watching Christmas specials and films on the TV.
8. What tops your tree?
                                                                            An angel!

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
A pony, I literally asked for a pony for years and years and I don't think I gave it up until I was at least twelve.

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?
Definitely watching people open presents I have bought them and seeing the happiness on their faces. I also love wrapping presents as well, which is odd because not many people do. And of course, opening presents myself!!!

Thanks for reading guys and I tag anyone who is reading this to do the Christmas tag yourself, it made me feel so much more festive (if that's even possible). See you all in the next Christmas post:)

Blogmas - My Christmas Blogging Desk+Blogging Essentials!

Can anyone believe it? It's 13 days until Christmas!! I am so so so excited! Hope you are too and if you are then let me know in the comments below what your favourite things about Christmas are and also how excited are you?

So today I decided to do another blog post about my blogging desk/work desk. I have already done one of these earlier on in the year, however I thought I would do one today to show you guys the little Christmas touches I have added to it and also to tell you all about my Winter blogging essentials.

So here is an overall shot of my desk, I must admit I have seen other bloggers who have much Christmassier blogging desks, but I don't mind as long as I have my little Christmas tree! As you can see not much has really changed, I have put up my Christmas tree as I do every year and also added a Salted Caramel candle on the top shelf. I have a few other Christmas decorations on my desk that you will see in the close up shots:) Also, if you didn't read my last blogging desk post then I should warn you, I am very organised and this is how my desk looks all the time, even the drawer underneath is amazingly organised. But that's just me!

This is a close up of my Christmas tree, as you can see it has some cute little decorations on it and it also has a cute little red and gold bow at the top. Behind my Christmas tree I have a few of my winter desk essentials. The macaroons in the gold plastic wrapper are from the German markets that I wrote about in my previous post. They are gorgeous and I purchased 2 Vanilla, 2 Chocolate and 2 Caramel, I must admit that Vanilla is my favourite. The brown bag next to the macaroons is my bag of Butterscotch coffee (which I am currently drinking as I type this post) which is to die for. Again the coffee was from the Christmas markets. Also behind the tree I have my copy of Girl Online by Zoe Sugg. Personally I really enjoyed this book and Zoe has been my inspiration for a long time, in regards to her mental health videos, her honesty, her openness and her confidence and without her and her blog and YouTube, I probably wouldn't be typing this right now. I have heard on the news about the possibility that Zoe's book was completely ghost-written, but to me that doesn't matter, the characters, the places and the whole basis of the story was her idea and that is what makes a story, not necessarily who writes it. Just wanted to put that out there:)
Just noticed my brushes look really dirty here, but they are currently drying now
as I cleaned them before writing this post:)
I am showing another of my Christmas/Winter essentials here which is my KIKO Cleansing Water. I just love using this to remove my make up and cleanse my skin at the end of a cold winters day, it just feels so refreshing. I also think my cute little bow around my make up brush holder adds to the winter feel:)

I love my snowman pen holder that I use at Christmas, I just think it's the
cutest little thing!
Hope you liked this little post and I will see you again in my next Christmas blog post!:)

Blogmas - Manchester German Christmas Markets!

Hey guys, so as most of you may know, from my 50 facts about me post, I'm a girl who LOVES Christmas (that much that it had to be in CAPITALS!) Therefore it might not come as much of a surprise that I decided to do blogmas, although I must admit not in the conventional way as this is my first Christmassy post... but expect more to come:D On Saturday I visited the German Markets in Manchester with my mum and her friend. We were also in Manchester to see Shrek the Musical, but more on that later. I decided to share with you some photographs and stories from our little day trip/night trip.

Our first stop of the day after we got off the train was to go and get a nice steaming mulled wine each as it was so so cold. The mulled wine from the German Markets is THE nicest thing ever (as long as your old enough of course). After a super busy train journey, this is definitely the pick me up we needed. Also...it's Christmas tradition so of course we had to have one...
Not sure what these are called but it is so cute and christmassy and I love it!

Just a little shot of part of the markets and a few of the stalls. There is also a really cool swing ride
at the back!

I love this huge Father Christmas that sits on top of the town hall, it's so cute. It usually gets put up during the Christmas lights switch on! This photograph was taken at the main section of the markets which was absolutely packed on Saturday night when we went.

I loved this little store so much so that I asked if I could take a photograph of it, because I really wanted to show you guys. They have the cutest Christmas decorations ever, glass baubles, baby father Christmas's and wooden Christmas garlands. Also the couple who worked there were the loveliest people ever. If anyone reading this blog has the opportunity to visit Manchester markets, please visit this stall as it is amazing.

Aww my Mum and her friend look so happy here...

I must admit I went a little crazy on spending on the stalls on Saturday. I bought myself some Butterscotch coffee, some mini macaroons in Caramel, Vanilla and Chocolate flavours and also drank mulled wine and German beer. I also bought some Christmas presents for the family, which I think they will really enjoy. After going to the markets we went to see Shrek the Musical at the Palace Theatre, which was an amazing show we all loved it.

See you guys in the next Christmas post:)

My Winter Essentials...

Hi Guys, so winter is around the corner and in some ways it is already here. Therefore I have cracked out all of my winter essentials and thought I would show them to you. These are my favourite things to have/use over the winter months...

1. Candles

The best thing about winter is coming home and getting all warm and cosy and lighting some candles, so here are just a few of my favourite winter candles (I have a lot more:)) To me candles are such an important part of any season, but there are so many different scents in the winter and I just have to have them all! I have been given a Yankee Candle advent house this year, which is super amazing and I am so excited to start opening it! One of my favourite winter candles is the Wax Lyrical Let It Snow Candle, which I bought last year at Tesco's. I'm not sure if they are selling them this year, but I stocked up last year and bought 3!! Also, Yankee Candle literally have the nicest winter scents in the world, so I recommend checking them out!

2. Dark Lipstick

Another amazing thing about winter is wearing really dark lipsticks and my current favourite is the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Venom. I adore Urban Decay lipsticks, but I can't get over this one, I have been wearing it ever day as it goes with pretty much every winter outfit I own. I think dark lips in the winter paired with a cosy cardigan or jumper and black boots looks stunning!

3. Mittens

I might sound sad saying this but I love love love wearing mittens in winter because it just reminds me of when I was in primary school and my mum used to make me put on my little red and black mittens before leaving the house when it was cold. They are the comfiest thing in the world and they don't even cost that much. I bought my pair from Tesco's last year:)

4. Cosy Blankets

I absolutely love jumping in bed after a long day in the cold and having a cuddly cosy blanket to snuggle up with. It is amazing! This blanket is so cute because it is a lovely cream colour and has the cutest pom poms on it:)

I love winter so much and there are so many other things that I do and love in the winter but these were ''just a few of my favourite things, that make me feel so good'' I love that song haha. Thanks for reading guys, speak to you again soon.

Pretty Little Liars Review and Look Back!

Hey guys, so I decided to write this post today, as I have been meaning to for a long time and I figured since the #WeloveyoutodeAth fan appreciation Halloween Special of PLL is here tonight... it's a pretty good time:) I'm going to do a mini review of PLL and also comment on a few of my favourite theories. I must admit first, this could be a long post as I love love love PLL!

Review
I must admit Pretty Little Liars has been my guilty pleasure for a long time, I wouldn't admit to friends or family how much I watch it, because they would probably think I was crazy...but ah well. On the internet it doesn't matter:) I have loved PLL from the beginning because of the drama, the suspense and the cliffhangers. If your not a fan of not knowing things straight away I wouldn't recommend it, because as you PLL fans know, we have been waiting to learn who BIG A is for a reallllly long time. I'm not sure whether I should read the books, because I have been told they are a lot different to the television program, but I must admit Sara Shepard is an amazing author. The character's in PLL are constantly evolving and the viewers are constantly learning new things about them, which makes them easier to connect with. The suspense that comes with the character of A is immense, there are people with motives everywhere, because Ali treated people badly and every time we think we know who A is, we are proved wrong, or we find out that there is someone else as well. Although for first time viewers it appears to be a teen drama, I believe PLL will be enjoyable for other age groups too (I mean my Mum LOVES it and she's 46).

Theories
My favourite A theory from Pretty Little Liars is that Alison herself is A, although this one isn't quite as well known and may seem slightly too obvious, as the girl who killed Mona was blonde and could have just been someone else in a wig. The reason I believe A could be Ali, is because of the way she has constantly treated, like they are 'her puppets' and not truly her friends. After seeing the clip from 'How the A stole Christmas' where Alison walks into the Christmas party with a new group of friends, I thought if Ali really cared about the Liars she wouldn't do that. Also, Ali was 'missing' for two years and yet she was everywhere, a little bit like A seems to be, she came back knowing everything that had gone on. In the episode 'Whirly Girl' Ali tells her Father that Emily told her about her Mother and Father divorcing, however we never saw Em tell her that. Probably because Alison already knew. It was easy for Alison to be A, she already knew all the girl's secrets. There are so many other reasons, but I don't want to ramble, so I will move on.

My second favourite A theory is that Aria is A, this is a very well known theory and there are so many different reasons for it. The most significant reason is that nothing bad ever really happens to Aria, Hanna got hit by a car, Spencer got sent to Radley because she though Toby was dead, Emily had social services called on her, nearly got killed by Nate and her girlfriend was killed. But Aria... all that's really happened to her is nearly losing Ezra and the trouble with her Father and Meredith, which in comparison to what the other girls have been through seems like nothing. When Mona is in Radley, she's says in hers and Hanna's language Miss Aria Your A Killer Not Ezra's Wife... which translated as Maya Knew, but could there have been another meaning behind what Mona was saying, was she suggesting that Aria tried to kill Ali? Also, when Mona asks the girls who is the best at hiding the truth from someone who is close to them, all of the girls agree that it is Aria, maybe there is a big secret that she has been keeping from them for a LONG time!

Anyway it's midnight here in the UK now, just an hour until the PLL Halloween Special and I'm very excited, so I must dash! Make sure your watching and comment your favourite PLL theory down below!

It's not over yet bitches! -A

It's been too long...

Hey Guys, oh my goodness... it has literally been forever since I wrote a blog post and I have missed it so so much, but once college started again, I don't get any time to myself to sit down and plan and write a blog post. Even my weekends are full of revision etc. I am going to try and get myself back into a routine, because blogging always cheers me up, to be honest it's quite therapeutic! I must admit though, my routine still could be a little hazy, because I'm doing this for myself, as a hobby and sometimes I just don't have time to write a blog post. I mean come on guys, A-levels are REALLY hard:)

So hopefully I will have another post up by weekend... see you guys then:)

Makeup Review: Revlon Photoready Eye Primer and Brightener

Revlon Photoready Eye Primer and Brightener - Boots - £9.99

Hey guys, so I have been on a mission for a while to find an eye primer that actually works, I have been through so many that I just wish I never spent my money on, so when I picked up the Revlon Photoready Eye Primer, I didn't have high hopes although I love the Revlon Photoready Foundation. I had heard lots of reviews about the Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion, however I was looking more for a drugstore alternative that was just as good.

Price: £9.99 from Boots in store or www.boots.com

Packaging: I love the idea of the mini brush applicator attached to the tube of primer, however it can sometimes be a little tricky as it is definitely not a product you should be applying too much of. I personally don't use the applicator for blending the product in, however it is a lovely and helpful way of applying it to your skin. I also love the shape of the packaging as it is the perfect size to fit in my make up bag and doesn't take up as much room as other primers.

Does it work?: Yes. I can say that without a doubt, for me this product is perfect. It fits perfectly to the shade of my skin whilst providing a great base for my eye-shadow and brightening my eyes. My eye make up lasts so much longer now that I am using this product and it is so perfect for defining and bringing out my eyes.

Is it similar to any other products?: As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I have been looking into buying one of the Urban Decay Primer Potions ever since I was given a sample of it from a friend. However, due to the fact that I am usually on a budget, I just can't convince myself. When I tried the Revlon Photoready Eye Primer however, I found that it works just as well as the Urban Decay Primer Potion and it also brightens and defines the eyes more than the Primer Potion. Therefore I would say that it is a perfect dupe for the Primer Potion and of course at a fraction of the price.

Celebrity Style - Selena Gomez 2014

Hey guys so today I really wanted to write a blog post because I have got so many amazing ideas and I really want to start writing them, but I am currently trying to sort and organize my whole bedroom including make-up, clothes.. everything, and it is taking so long. So I ended up spending pretty much all day today doing that, but I have stopped for the night now, so I made a nice mocha, lit my fave candle, which is currently the Yankee Candle Christmas Treats (so what if it's not Christmas yet?) and sat down to do a blog post for you all:)

I have been wanting to write this post for soooo long and I will probably be continuing this and doing a celebrity style series. I really loved this outfit on Selena Gomez from January 2014, because it is something slightly different to what she usually wears, but everything goes together so perfectly. I did some research and have found some great dupes for the clothes she is wearing here. If you want to know more keep reading:)

Life Update - CRAZY FEW WEEKS!

Hey Guys, I literally feel like I haven't blogged in so long, even though it has only been about two days I think...I'm really missing it! I'm probably going to be doing a lot more now but today I just thought I would do a quick update on what's been going on and all that jazz. So the main reason I haven't been blogging as much the past 2 weeks, is because my car theory test was yesterday and I have been pretty much none stop revising for weeks, but it clearly paid off because I passed my test. YAY, just the actual driving test now and then I can get a car... that's if I can afford the extortionate insurance fees anyway. Also I have had quite a few job interviews and finally I got my AS Level results on Thursday, so that was a crazzzzy day! I mean AS levels aren't as significantly live changing as A Level's but it's still stressful and nerve racking. But they were successful so it's all good. I'm going to be doing a post soon specifically about college and what to do if you didn't get the passes you wanted and what options you have etc. You may have already had this discussion with parents or teachers, but hearing it from someone your own age can sometimes be a lot easier. So yeah, it's been a mental few weeks to say the least, but life has more or less settled down now, so we are good to go. I don't know if I will be blogging everyday, but I might do, just until I go back to college in September and then I probably won't blog as much because I will be studying most of the time.

So yeah, there's just a quick life update to explain why I haven't been blogging as much and to let you all know what's been going on. I have a few blog ideas lined up, but let me know if there is anything you would like me to write about. I'm thinking of doing a lot more advice blogs such as the Relationships post I did last month, because I really enjoy writing them and feeling like maybe I'm helping some of you out if you have any issues:)

Thanks for reading....

Mini Beauty and Home-Ware Haul!

Today I decided to share with you all my most recent purchases. Actually I bought it all yesterday, but you know, it's been AGES since I went shopping! *nose grows like Pinocchio*  Anyway, I decided to show you what I bought, because I'm super nosey and absolutely love reading haul posts, just to see what people buy! While I was out I went to Boots, Superdrug, ASDA and some random stationary shop. The first place I went to was Boots where I bought two new lipsticks from the Collection Lasting Colour collection, one in the shade 12 - Valentine, a strong, but light red and the other in 1 - Queen of Hearts, which is a much darker red, with slightly purple undertones. Next I bought the Revlon Photoready Eye Primer and Brightener in the shade 003. I love the applicator on this, but I have never used it, so keep your eyes peeled for a review! Next up is the Soap and Glory A Brush With Greatness Cleansing and Massage Brush. This does a similar job to the Clarisonic, except it is a lot cheaper and also doesn't have to be charged...obviously:) I also bought the Collection Work the Colour Brow Kit and finally the Seventeen Instant Glow Bronzing Powder in Medium Bronze.

The next shop I went in was Superdrug, but I didn't buy as much in there as I was in a slight rush by that point. The first thing I bought was the Maybelline New York Big Eyes Rebel Black Mascara, which has a smaller mascara wand on one end for lower lashes, which I love! Then I kind of knew I had to pick up a new blending brush because my old one is losing most of it's hairs, so I just picked up the Superdrug's own blending brush, which comes in a pink packet if your looking to buy it. Then, due to all the hype around this brand I decided to pick up something from the collection and that is the B. B. Ready Day Cream. I will definitely do a review on this and I am seriously hoping it works for me, as I have been on the hunt for a new favourite day cream. I also picked up some Superdrug Cleansing Facial Wipes for Normal Skin

I then decided to pop in a random stationary shop to pick up a new notebook, specifically for blogging notes and a new diary. Then I stopped off at ASDA and found that they have brought out the Yankee Candle Simply Home Christmas Candles... I NEARLY DIED. Christmas candles are literally one of my favourite things about Christmas. Luckily, I managed to restrain myself...in the end, and only bought three mini candles, but I will probably end up going back and splurging when Christmas gets a little closer. But now I'm all excited for Christmas, might have to do a countdown at the end of all my blog posts from now on:)

I know this was a super long post, I didn't mean to ramble as much as I did, but I do like to vary the length of my posts sometimes, because sometimes I don't get to provide as much info as I would like too in my smaller blogs.

Rainy Day Dog Walks!

So, recently I decided I was going to be a lot healthier and as well as eating healthy I was going to start fitting in more exercise. I'm making the most of the fact that I have a dog, by taking her for long countryside walks which benefits me as much as her. Where I live, there are so many places to walk the dog where there are lovely views, so I'm sure I will be writing about more of our walks in the near future. Buttons is loving these walks as you can see!

As you can see this particular walk was on a very rainy day, however I knew I had to kick my bum into gear and get out and about. But the good thing is I love splashing in puddles and so does Buttons...so it's all good. We walked up on the hills near my house, where there used to be a coal mine and there are some amazing things left behind from the past.

The views from the top of the hills are so amazing... you can see so far:)

As you can see, Buttons loved running up and down the hills after her ball.

This might be really difficult to see, but these are long pot pipes leftover from when the coal mine was there. There are quite a few things like this left, there are a lot of pieces of pottery left around that mix in with the stones. I don't know why I find this so interesting, but it sort of provides a history to the area I live in, which is cool.

We both enjoyed the dog walk and it made me feel so much better and healthier, even if this is only the beginning. But even if you don't have a dog you can still do things like this and you can count how many calories your burning with the app - MapMyWalk.

Thank you for reading my lovelies:)

It would depend where I was going, if it was just out to the shop then yeah, course I could, but not to college or work or anything.
